SQL Engineer

Insight Global is seeking an SQL Engineer for one of their premier financial services clients in Bengaluru. This person will be expected to uunderstand the Loyalty and Benefits domain and how it powers the experience for the client's customer. He or she will learn and support the legacy applications and modern platforms to develop a deep understanding of all functional workflows. The engineer will work closely with product owners and / or other technology counterparts globally, participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, demos and retrospectives and co-ordinate delivery of the project across global teams. This role offers a flexible, hybrid working model with an option to work from home up to two days / week.

This is a long-term contract role and would require a candidate to start within 30 days.

Must Haves :

• Professional experience in Oracle development
• Proficiency in SQL, PL / SQL, and UNIX
• Proven expertise in writing and executing SQL queries and developing PL / SQL procedures and functions
• Experience with Oracle Forms and Weblogic
• Experience with Performance Tuning : Optimizing database performance, including query optimization and resource allocation
• Troubleshooting skills : Identifying and resolving environment issues, including performance problems and errors
• Experience with performing database migrations and / or upgrades
• Expertise with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and / or other cloud platforms
• Scripting and Automation skills : Experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python, unix, Java) to automate tasks and improve efficiency
• Ability to independently work with product and business to gather requirements, design and implement solutions
