Job description15+ years of direct Atlassian Jira Administration & Development. Proven track record of Jira Data Center → Cloud migrations . Strong hands-on experience with Atlassian Cloud Migration Assistant , Jira REST APIs , and ScriptRunner . Deep understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, and automation . Experience with Atlassian Marketplace apps and their migration equivalents. Experience integrating Jira with SailPoint , Fusion , and SSO providers (Azure AD / Okta). Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills. Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator / Cloud Migration Specialist. Experience with Confluence Cloud migrations is a plus. Familiarity with Power BI or data visualization tools for Jira metrics. Prior experience with US-based teams and remote collaboration in ET time zone .
Job Title : Senior Jira Migration Lead / Senior Jira Developer (Contract – Remote)
Location : Remote (India)
Contract Duration : 1 Year
Shift Timing : Up to 2 PM ET overlap
Compensation : ₹25 LPA+ (depending on experience)
Experience Required : 15+ years (with deep Atlassian ecosystem expertise)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Jira Developer / Migration Lead to lead the end-to-end migration of an enterprise Jira Data Center instance to Jira Cloud .
This role demands hands-on technical expertise, strong migration strategy experience, and coordination with business stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities
- Audit existing Jira Data Center configurations.
- Design and build the new Jira Cloud environment.
- Execute a big-bang migration and validate post-migration integrity.
- Deliver documentation, user training, and post-go-live support.
