ServiceNow Developer – Hardware Logistics Integration
Overview A technical specialist focused on integrating hardware-logistics and supply-chain systems with ServiceNow to automate shipment tracking, stock updates, and asset-receipt processes within an AI-driven EDLM environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement REST / SOAP integrations with logistics providers using IntegrationHub and MID ServerConfigure scheduled data imports, Import Sets, and Transform Maps to ingest shipment details and warehouse transactionsDefine and enforce CMDB reconciliation rules to align physical inventory with ServiceNow recordsDevelop error-handling and alerting mechanisms, including retry logic and exception notificationsCollaborate with external vendors to validate API contracts, authentication (OAuth2, API keys), and data-security requirementsBuild runbooks and automated workflows for inbound receipts, outbound deployments, returns, and discrepancy resolutionExtend ServiceNow assets and CI classes to capture logistics attributes (tracking number, carrier, delivery status)Implement data-cleansing routines and mapping scripts to normalize logistics data for analyticsDocument integration patterns, update sets, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles for ongoing maintenanceRequired Skills & Experience
