Duties & Responsibilities
Programme Management
- Provide scheduling inputs for the Master program
- Monitor preparation of micro-schedule for each trade in line with the Master schedule
Design Coordination
Check and comment construction drawings prepared by designers and shop drawings prepared by contractorsSupervise contractors work progress on site and monitor adequacy of resources and equipmentSupervise contractors work quality and compliance with design documents & codesManage interfaces on site between MEP contractors and other trade contractorsReport on weekly basis to PM (quality, progress)Site Management
Lead High Side MEP Works Installation, Testing and CommissioningLead weekly review meetings with contractorsDrive construction processes and control coordination between tradesMonitor and control sequencing of works and HO-TO process on siteMonitor timely delivery of Contractor / vendor supplied material on siteContract and Commercial Management
Review the BOQ and provide inputs on milestone schedule, methodology, quality, sequencing of activities and quantity variations (between drawings and actuals) due to site conditionsSupport the Commercial team in Pre-qualification of vendorsParticipate in the tendering process and support the Commercial team in management of bidders’ queries, site visits and issues related to site logistics, administration and enabling worksEnsure timely issuance of contractual Notices for defaults on quality / HSE and delaysEnsure proper handover with test certificates, manuals and training programs given to client / operator at the time of commissioning of system during project completionChange Management
Manage change management process for any changes requested after award of works on siteReview and support on providing accurate impact on time, cost and quality captured in the change requestsMonitor realignment of project baselines after acceptance of change requestsQC & HSE
Implement Quality Control procedures on siteImplement HSE procedures on siteEnsure following of ITPs and adequate documentation of the inspection / test reportsEnsure timely issuance of relevant Notices to the Contractors for any defaultsEnsure application of correct penalties for disapproved deviations / defaultsMonitor rectification of defaults by the contractorsRequired Education & Skills
Diploma or BE (Electrical or Mechanical)Excellent hands-on knowledge of electrical, HVAC, Firefighting, and plumbing worksMinimum 10 years’ experience in the building construction industry in a similar managerial MEP position with at least two projects taken till completionGood ability to read & review drawings, and communicate with designersKnowledge of occupational health & safety regulations in IndiaGood command of English and ability to write minutes of meetingProficient with MS Word and ExcelGood interpersonal and communication skills, and good reporting skills with management
