JOB OVERVIEW :
The incumbent will support in the planning and execution of the overall communication strategy for Piramal Finance, a leading retail-focused NBFC & Piramal Foundation. The role includes managing external communication, media relations, content development, leadership communication, and ensuring smooth communication workflows across teams. This role suits someone who enjoys writing, storytelling, stakeholder coordination and maintaining consistency and quality across all communication touchpoints.
EDUCATION :
Postgraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or related fields preferred.
LOCATION : Lower Parel, Mumbai.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. External Communication & Public Relations
- Support and execute the annual PR and external communication plan, managing agency coordination across corporate, business, retail and regional mandates.
- Draft and refine press releases, media statements, talking points and Q&As, ensuring accuracy and alignment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business, financial and regional media.
- Support communication for Piramal Foundation initiatives as needed.
- Use digital and AI-driven monitoring tools to track coverage and insights.
2. Brand & Content Development
Develop speeches, op-eds, leadership messages, presentations, social media content, impact stories and partnership narratives.Ensure accuracy, relevance and a consistent brand voice across all formats.3. Internal Processes & Communication Workflows
Manage communication workflows, approvals and stakeholder coordination.Collaborate with HR, Legal, Audit, IR and business teams; maintain repositories of approved messaging, templates and FAQs.4. Leadership Communication & Visibility
Draft speeches, scripts, quotes and briefing notes for senior leadership.Support leadership participation at external forums and prepare strategic content for leadership social profiles (LinkedIn), ensuring consistency and quality.5. Vendor & Budget Coordination
Coordinate with agencies and vendors on deliverables, timelines and quality.Work with Procurement and Finance on POs, budgeting and invoicing; maintain organised records of communication spends.REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES :
Strong writing, editing and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.Experience in PR, media relations, corporate communication or social impact communication.Strong stakeholder management, coordination and cross-functional collaboration skills.Comfort with digital tools, social platforms and AI-based communication / insights tools.Experience in the philanthropy or social impact space, combined with strong communication and interpersonal skills, would add significant value to this role.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES :
