About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Subject Specialist - Science at ExcelOne to lead the creation of high-quality, research-backed K–12 assessment content. This role focuses on developing skill-based, competency-driven assessments that measure students' conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and reasoning, aligned with national and international standards.
As a core member of our academic team, you will actively perform and lead tasks associated with the following key items :
- Item creation
- Item review and validation
- Data Analysis post assessments
- Ongoing assessment, content, and rubric enhancement
- Report visualisation
Core Responsibilities :
Develop high-quality assessment items for mathematics and science across K-12, based on the company's assessment philosophyCollaborate in rigorous item review cycles, ensuring alignment with learning objectives, clarity in phrasing, and appropriate levels of cognitive complexityEnsure that content is inclusive, engaging, and aligned with national and international curriculum frameworksIterate on content based on pilot data, psychometric analysis, and stakeholder feedback.Work closely with psychometricians, senior reviewers, educators, and school stakeholders to maintain strong alignment between assessment objectives and learning outcomes.Provide academic guidance to graphic designers and content developers for optimal visual storytelling and layout to report on assessment data for various stakeholders.Analyze assessment performance data to draw actionable insights and recommendations for content improvement.Support field rollout and implementation of assessments, including orientation and training for school staff.Assist with troubleshooting content-related queries during and after test administration.Facilitate internal capacity-building workshops, contribute to academic publications or conference presentations.Attitudes we value :
