Description
- The Divisional Risk and Control Specialist - Data Analyst is responsible for delivering specific aspects of the risk and control strategy for a sub-division. This includes reviewing, mining, enriching control inventory data for management of information and reporting.
- Understanding operational processes for monitoring risk and control activities, risk-based control reporting of key issues, performance, and validation of cyclical activities such as certification, annual control self-assessments. It would also include, supporting control assurance, incident research, remediation monitoring and other ad hoc control initiatives and projects.
- The Divisional Risk and Control Specialist - Data Analyst will liaise with other risk and control functions, on a management level to assure the integration of risk initiatives and projects.

Data Analysis : Collect, clean, and validate data to create standardized reports. Analyse resulting large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvementReporting and Visualization : Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI etc. to present actionable insights to stakeholders.Advanced Excel - Use advanced Excel functions (e.g., Power Query, PivotTables, VBA, array formulas) to manipulate and analyze data efficientlyStatistical Analysis : Run statistical analysis or predictive modeling to arrive at informed business decisions.Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. Work with internal team and stakeholders to frame business questions and prioritize business needs.Data Quality : Monitor data quality, identify areas for improvement, and implement data governance policies ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms.Data Mining : Data Classification, Clustering for Improved Decision MakingData Governance : Track data origin, processing and movement to ensure transparency and accountability.Delivery and Tracking : Non-Financial Risk deliverables, status, and issues.Findings Management : Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.Automation : Automate recurring reporting tasks and optimize data workflows.Trigger Driven Data Analysis : Support ad hoc analysis and business intelligence initiatives.Additional Responsibilities :
Review of existing controls framework and documenting required controls in line with the Bank’s risk framework and taxonomy ensuring Minimum Control Standards are met with and standardized across the Corporate Banking Global Footprint.Ability to continually read and comprehend complex process documentation, assess the control requirements for a process and write the controls in clear and unambiguous language to meet the standards prescribed by the Risk OrganizationYour skills and experience
11+ years of proven experience in Data Management, Mining, Analysis, Reporting & Visualization and GovernanceProficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc) – strong excel skills requiredSharePoint Power BI, Excel Macro and VB ScriptingTableau knowledge will be plus.Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationship with global stakeholdersStrong analytical skills, high attention to detail, solid organizational and interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written articulationStrong ability to interact, collaborate, communicate, and influence individuals at all levelsEffective problem solving and decision-making capabilityExperience operating in a complex and fast-paced global environmentOpen-minded, capability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise with othersKnowledge of financial domain & terminology would be a plusHow we’ll support you
