OctaKidz, a flagship initiative of Curiosity Quest Private Limited , is dedicated to creating innovative educational products and services that inspire curiosity and nurture holistic learning across different age groups. We are currently expanding our technology team and looking for a MEAN Stack Developer to contribute to building our interactive learning platform.

Job Title : MEAN Stack Developer

Experience : 3+ years

Location : Chennai

Job Type : Full-time

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled MEAN Stack Developer with strong hands-on experience in Angular, Node.Js, and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate should have excellent problem-solving abilities, be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and contribute to building high-quality web applications.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain dynamic web applications using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.Js, Angular, Node.Js).
  • Design, implement, and optimize database schemas in PostgreSQL .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications for performance and scalability.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and propose improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a MEAN stack developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Angular & NodeJS (2+ years experience preferred).
  • Strong backend development experience using Node.Js and Express.Js .
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database design and query optimization.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services integration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Familiarity with Git, version control, and agile development methodologies.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

    • Preferred :

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and writing unit / integration tests.

  • Consumer Web Development Experience for High-Traffic, Public Facing web applications

  • Continuous integration (Jenkins / Hudson) and version control (SVN, Git)
