Location : Hyderabad, India

Work Mode : Work from Office (4 days / week)

Experience : 15+ Years

Industry : Utilities (Electricity, Water, Gas, Renewable Energy)

Employment Type : Full-time

Note : Experience working with utility clients in Europe, US, or UK is mandatory

Role Overview

We're seeking a seasoned Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Utilities domain to provide strategic insights, domain leadership, and technical guidance across enterprise transformation programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge and the ability to influence both technology and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary domain expert across electricity, water, and gas engagements
  • Lead business and technology discussions, translating domain needs into actionable solutions
  • Provide thought leadership in smart grid, metering, billing, outage management, and customer experience
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, and delivery teams to ensure domain alignment
  • Support pre-sales, RFPs, and client presentations with domain-specific insights
  • Stay current with regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging technologies
  • Mentor internal teams on domain best practices
  • Contribute to reusable assets, frameworks, and accelerators

Required Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years in the utilities industry, spanning business and technology functions
  • Strong client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Deep understanding of utility operations : generation, transmission, distribution, metering, billing
  • Experience with platforms like SAP IS-U / Oracle Utilities / Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Familiarity with smart grid, IoT, SCADA, AMI, and energy analytics
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and work cross-functionally

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Technology, or Business
  • Experience with global utility clients or large transformation programs
  • Certifications in utility platforms or enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF, SAP, Oracle)
