Summary :

Diesel Mechanics play a critical role in ensuring the reliable and safe operation of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment across commercial, agricultural, transport, and industrial sectors. This role involves diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults, performing comprehensive repairs and maintenance, and maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and emissions standards. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician with hands-on experience in diesel engine systems, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in dynamic workshop or field environments. Their expertise directly contributes to operational uptime, equipment longevity, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities :

• Diagnose faults in diesel engines and associated systems, including fuel, exhaust, cooling, transmission, and electrical components.
• Repair, rebuild, or replace key components such as fuel injectors, turbochargers, cooling systems, filters, and starters.
• Conduct routine servicing tasks including oil changes, coolant flushes, and filter replacements.
• Maintain and troubleshoot vehicle and equipment electrical systems and control modules.
• Perform inspections and ensure compliance with safety, emissions, and environmental regulations.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, software, and testing equipment for accurate fault detection and performance evaluation.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and workspaces; ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors; communicate repair details, estimates, and recommendations to clients.
