Position Title : Social Media & Community Manager

Department : Marketing

Reporting To : Marketing Manager

Location : India, Singapore, Indonesia, (Remote)

AddedEducation, a division of The Added Company, provides an array of services for students and athletes in Asia, in their pursuit of tertiary education opportunities. We are dedicated to upskilling gifted students and student-athletes in Asia, providing them with resources and opportunities to leverage their talent and access top-notch tertiary education globally.

Based in Singapore with operations across South-East Asia, India and China, and several other countries across the globe, we are a team of young like-minded people united by a single mission : to support and promote academic and sporting excellence among the Asian youth. Despite being profitable since its first year of operations, The Added Company recently raised a series A round of funding from a consortium of investors to further scale up operations and hire quality individuals to bring new thought and leadership. Currently under the AddedEducation brand, our business needs are focused on US, UK and Canada university admissions services, boarding school preparatory services and pre-high school development services.

AddedEducation is seeking a Social Media & Community Manager to collaborate with the client acquisition and client delivery teams. This individual is the bridge between the marketing team and client acquisition, client delivery teams to ensure that campaigns are generating "relevant" and "qualified" leads based on the company's business plans

Main Duties & Responsibilities :

Social Media Strategy & Content Creation :

  • Develop and execute a data-driven social media strategy to increase brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Create highly engaging, platform-specific content (posts, stories, reels, carousels, blogs) tailored to students, parents, and alumni.
  • Schedule and optimize posts using tools like Buffer / Hootsuite.
  • Stay updated on education trends (study abroad, admissions, news) and adapt content accordingly.
  • Own end-to-end content curation, creation, and engagement with the audience.
  • Develop trending formats and implement updates for algorithm hacking.
  • Create a monthly activity plan and tracker to keep track of activities.

Conduct competitor research online :

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
  • Drive sign-ups, downloads, and link clicks through social media.
  • Community & Engagement :

  • Connect with industry professionals and influencers through social media to establish a robust network.
  • Ensure that the internal team is engaged and serves as our social media evangelists.
  • Set up and execute Thought Leadership through AddedEducation's team handles.
  • Actively engage with our community (clients, alumni, prospects) via comments, DMs, emails, and WhatsApp groups.
  • Build 1 : 1 relationships - answer queries, share success stories, and foster discussions.
  • Organize and host live Q&A sessions, webinars, alumni chats, and networking events (virtual / in-person).
  • Spotlight alumni journeys, interview past clients for testimonials, case studies, and social features.
  • Moderate online communities (Facebook groups, LinkedIn forums, Discord) to keep discussions valuable and spam-free.
  • Build conviction through various channels :

  • Analytics and reporting
  • Track KPIs (engagement, leads, and conversions) and refine strategies weekly.
  • Report on ROI of social campaigns and suggest improvements.
  • Required Skills and Educational Qualifications :

  • A minimum of four years of work experience in Social Media Management
  • A good Bachelor's Degree from a reputed university
  • Creative thinker, excellent communicator, with the ability to work with diverse groups of people and a collaborative approach.
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused :

  • Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
  • Proficient with Social Media Platforms
