What you’ll do

As Tax Specialist India region, you’ll be responsible for tax matters in the India and be part of the tax team in India, reporting to Head of Tax in India. You will be part of the global Group Tax team of Signify, which spans a diverse global network of over 30 professionals operating as one integrated, internal tax function for Signify businesses worldwide advising on transfer pricing, corporate income tax, and GST / VAT.

• Support Tax Compliance and Reporting :
• Collaborate with external service providers to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns, transfer pricing documentation, and other statutory submissions.
• Provide Expert Tax Advisory :
• Serve as the in-house expert on Indian taxation, covering Corporate Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, and Goods & Services Tax (GST). Provide insights and recommendations on tax implications of business operations and transactions.
• Manage Audits and Litigation :
• Handle tax assessments, audits, and litigation processes with government authorities. Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to mitigate tax exposure and resolve disputes efficiently.
• Act as Group Tax Liaison :
• Function as the primary point of contact for the Group Tax team on all tax-related matters for the Greater India region, ensuring alignment with global tax strategies and policies.
• Drive Tax Strategy and Governance :
• Oversee the formulation and implementation of the Group Tax strategy, including processes, policies, controls, and compliance frameworks to ensure consistent execution and risk management.
