Job Title : Tax Compliance Specialist

Key Responsibilities :

• GST Reconciliation :
• Perform regular reconciliations between financial records and GST returns, identifying discrepancies in input tax credit claims and tax liabilities. Resolve issues promptly to ensure compliance.
• Review and match GST-related transactions with corresponding invoices and payments, clearing open items for accurate recording.
• Annual Return Filing (GSTR-9C) :
• Assist in preparing and filing GSTR-9C, ensuring adherence to GST laws and regulations. Collaborate with auditors for necessary data and documentation.
• Address and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliation, providing explanations as needed to state tax authorities.
• State-wise Financial Assessments :
• Manage and support state-specific GST audits and assessments, preparing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Resolve state-specific GST compliance issues efficiently, maintaining optimal relationships with state tax authorities.
• Collaboration with GST and GL Teams :
• Work closely with the GST team for timely return filing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with the GL team for proper accounting of GST transactions.
• Promptly close reconciliation points, ensuring team alignment and optimal performance.
• GST Reconciliation Entries to GL Team :
• Provide detailed GST reconciliation entries to the GL team for accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure all GST-related transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger.
