About the Role
The Senior Platform Engineer is a key technical leader responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing platform services that support critical data workloads. This role blends platform architecture with hands-on engineering — focusing on performance, security, automation, cost-efficiency, and a stellar developer experience. Working within agile teams, this engineer collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, data, and product stakeholders to advance platform capabilities and align infrastructure with business strategy.
This position plays a crucial role in enabling operational excellence, innovation, and strategic growth through robust platform solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and deploy platform services to improve performance, security, and cost optimization
- Enhance and maintain infrastructure to efficiently handle core data workloads
- Collaborate across engineering, data, and product teams to expand platform capabilities
- Build automation pipelines to support deployment and developer experience at scale
- Ensure the security and resilience of platform architecture and implementation
- Work within Agile frameworks to streamline platform engineering and delivery
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and support strategic technology initiatives
- Participate in platform lifecycle planning, observability, and cost management
- Perform other responsibilities and projects as assigned by leadership
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred)4–7 years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or DevOpsStrong background in cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure automationProven ability to lead and implement scalable platform solutions in enterprise settingsHands-on experience in Kubernetes, CI / CD, scripting, and infrastructure-as-codeProficiency in Agile development and cross-functional collaborationDeep understanding of platform security, performance tuning, and operational optimizationCertifications (preferred) : CKA, AWS Solutions Architect, CISSPMust Have Skills
Experience in Platform EngineeringProficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript, Java (Spring Boot), or PythonExperience with monitoring tools (Splunk preferred, but others are acceptable)Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database systemsHands-on experience with Kubernetes , Docker , and CI / CD pipelines.Proficiency in Helm Deployment Strategy and Distributed Caches (Redis / Hazelcast) and Entra Integration, OAUTH / RBACNice To Have
