Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CAD Trainer to lead our technical design training programme for students. This role requires strong CAD software competence, excellent instructional skills, and the ability to mentor students through project-based learning toward real-world outcomes. Responsibilities
Conduct live sessions (instructor-led & lab-based), guide students during hands-on labs, and provide one-on-one support as needed.Teach the curriculum where students design, assemble and finalise a product for 3D printing and prototyping.Prepare lesson plans, training materials, hands-on exercises and project assignments aligned with each module.Monitor student progress, assess deliverables (sketches, 3D parts, assemblies, rendered views, exported files) and provide timely, constructive feedback.Manage classroom / lab environment : ensure all required software, hardware (CAD workstations, 3D printer / export setups) are functioning; maintain student attendance and participation records.Promote a positive, inclusive, engaging learning atmosphere; encourage curiosity, peer learning and project innovation.Minimum Qualifications
MTech in Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.Proven experience (minimum 1 – 3 years) using solid modelling CAD tools and designing / assembling complex components (for example, experience with any mainstream CAD software in a professional or educational setting).Experience in teaching, training, or leading hands-on workshops in CAD, 3D modelling or product design (classroom, lab or industry training).Strong command of technical design principles : sketching, feature-based modelling (fillets, chamfers, patterns), assemblies, joints and motion, rendering, STL export / 3D printing workflows.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt to various learning speeds.Competence in using training infrastructure (CAD software, workstations, possibly 3D printers) and managing class / lab logistics.Job Overview
