Role : Senior Data Modeler

Required Technical Skill Set :

Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling

Experience : 8-10 years

Work Location : Kolkata

Must-Have :

Data Modelling Expertise

Proficient in designing conceptual, logical and physical data models

Skilled in methodologies such as Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault and Dimensional Modelling

Experience with tools like Erwin, SQLDBM, PowerDesigners and Oracle Sql Developer Data Modeler

Cloud & Platform Integration

Deep understanding of cloud ecosystems including Azure and Databricks

Ability to design models compatible with modern data platforms and Lakehouse architectures

ETL / ELT & Data Pipelines

Familiarity with tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Power Automate

Metadata & Master Data Management

Skilled metadata management, data lineage, and source-to-target mapping

Exposure to MDM / RDM platforms and governance frameworks like DAMA or DCAM

Data Quality & Governance

Strong focus on data profiling, validation and quality assurance

Ability to align models with regulatory, security and governance standards

Business & Stakeholder Engagement

Translate business requirements into scalable data designs

Collaborate with architects, engineers, analysts and SMEs across domains

Analytical & Problem Solving

Apply critical thinking to resolve modelling challenges and optimize performance

Conduct root cause analysis for data issues and propose improvements

Documentation & Standards

Maintain data dictionaries, modelling standards and reusable templates
