Job Description
Role Objective
The Sector Expert (Survey & Estimates) will be responsible for conducting accurate land and construction surveys, preparing estimates, and ensuring adherence to technical standards in railway and highway projects. The role requires proficiency in modern surveying equipment and software, with strong experience in handling large infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, conduct, and oversee survey activities for railway and / or highway projects.
- Operate and manage modern survey instruments including Total Station, GPS, and Auto Level .
- Prepare and review survey drawings, estimates, and related technical documentation.
- Ensure accurate application of coordinate systems in all survey works.
- Work closely with design and construction teams to provide survey data for project execution.
- Verify contractors’ survey data, benchmarks, and layout plans for compliance with project specifications.
- Support project planning and monitoring through accurate survey-based inputs.
- Prepare progress reports, field notes, and maintain proper survey records.
- Coordinate with client representatives, PMC teams, and contractors to resolve survey-related issues.
Requirements
Experience Requirements
Total Professional Experience :Diploma holders : Minimum 7 years of experience
Degree holders : Minimum 3 years of experience
Relevant Experience (any one of the following) :At least 3 years of experience as a Surveyor in PMC / Construction Agency for Railway / Highway projects.
At least 3 years of experience as SSE / W (i / c) or above in Indian Railways Construction with proven survey expertise
