We are expanding our capability to include more AI-assisted research, digital automation, and intelligent user-facing tools that enhance the way analysts, clients, HR leaders, and decision-makers engage with our work.
We're now hiring an AI & Digital Automation Manager to design, build and manage the next generation of Bloor's digital research experience.
The Role
This role is responsible for developing and managing advanced AI-powered systems, custom chat interfaces, research automations, and internal digital workflows across Bloor Research International.
You will sit at the intersection of technology, research, and user experience, supporting analysts, clients, and internal teams by building tools that streamline operations, enhance insight delivery, and create new digital research products.
This is a hands-on role for someone who mixes technical ability with creativity, commercial thinking, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
AI Tooling & Conversational Interfaces
- Build and manage Bloor-branded AI assistants (e.g., research companions, advisory assistants, workforce transformation tools).
- Develop conversational flows that support analysts, clients, HR leaders and vendors.
- Maintain and optimise Custom GPTs, knowledge models, and research-driven AI tools.
- Ensure consistent tone, accuracy, and alignment with Bloor's research methodology.
Digital Automation & Workflow Engineering
Design and implement workflow automations using API integrations and no-code tools (Zapier, Make, Voiceflow, Botpress, etc).Streamline research operations, data collection, interview management, and client delivery processes.Integrate AI systems with internal platforms (CRM, CMS, knowledge systems, analytics tools).Ensure clean data flows, transparent audit trails, and compliance with GDPR.Front-End & User Experience
Create simple, intuitive web-based interfaces for AI assistants and digital research tools.Build microsites, chat modules, dashboards, or client-facing user journeys as required.Work with branding guidelines to ensure consistency across all digital products.Optimise usability for both internal analysts and external clients.Content & Knowledge Engineering
Structure, update, and expand the knowledge bases powering Bloor's AI systems.Work with researchers to translate reports, interviews and insights into machine-readable formats.Ensure data governance, version control, and high editorial standards.Support the development of digital research products, interactive tools, and advisory models.Insights, Reporting & Continual Improvement
Monitor performance, usage patterns, and user experience of all AI systems.Provide clear data-driven recommendations for optimisation and future development.Establish internal best practice for responsible and ethical use of AI across research.Contribute to innovation projects and Bloor's emerging digital product roadmap.Collaboration
Work closely with research directors, analysts, product teams and operations.Support interview-based research programmes (e.g., HRD, CFO, Tech, Procurement) with digital tools and automations.Assist in developing client-facing demonstrations, prototypes, and advisory assets.Act as the internal champion for AI innovation across Bloor Research International.Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven experience building or managing AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar).Strong understanding of prompting, conversational design, and AI workflow logic.Ability to work with APIs, webhooks, JSON, and basic front-end technologies (HTML / CSS / JS).Experience using no-code platforms for chatbot and automation development.Good UX instincts and the ability to build clear, intuitive digital interfaces.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Comfortable liaising with researchers, senior stakeholders, and non-technical colleagues.Desirable
Experience in research, consulting, HR tech, or digital advisory environments.Background in knowledge engineering, digital product development or AI governance.Familiarity with job boards, labour market insight, workforce transformation, or HR systems.Understanding of ethical AI frameworks and responsible deployment principles.Experience converting complex information into structured, machine-ready knowledge.Personal Qualities
