Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic
Art Director
who can elevate visual storytelling through a strong sense of design, aesthetics, and production craft. This role requires a balance of creativity, leadership, and operational excellence from concept development to on-ground execution. Will be responsible for conceptualizing and supervising the visual language of campaigns and production projects, ensuring that the creative vision translates seamlessly across all stages of execution.
You will lead art direction across shoots, set design, styling, and overall aesthetic storytelling, working closely with producers, directors, and creative strategists. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in design and production, an eye for modern aesthetics, and the ability to manage teams and vendors under tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Creative & Art Direction
Define and drive the visual style, tone, and overall artistic direction across projects.
Develop moodboards, style references, and design treatments aligned with brand identity and campaign objectives.
Collaborate with creative directors, producers, and directors to bring storyboards and visual concepts to life.
Oversee set design, props, styling, and visual aesthetics for all production outputs.
Ensure consistency in visual tone and quality across multiple projects and formats.
Production Collaboration
Partner closely with production teams to ensure creative intent is maintained throughout execution.
Supervise art setups during shoots, ensuring all visual elements meet the creative and technical standards.
Oversee vendors, set designers, and prop teams for timely and high-quality deliverables.
Manage timelines, resource allocation, and on-ground implementation during shoots.
Budgeting & Logistics
Plan and manage art department budgets, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising on quality.
Source and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and rental partners for set materials, props, and decor.
Ensure all art-related logistics from procurement to setup and wrap-up run smoothly and within deadlines.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor junior art directors, stylists, and art assistants.
Provide creative feedback, design direction, and production guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and craft excellence.
Quality Control & Final Delivery
Conduct visual checks and approvals for set design, prop styling, and shoot aesthetics.
Review final outputs to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and the envisioned creative tone.
Maintain high creative and production standards across all deliverables.
Problem-Solving
Anticipate creative and logistical challenges, providing proactive solutions.
Adapt to last-minute production changes while maintaining creative integrity.
Balance creative ambition with operational feasibility and timelines.
Requirements
Experience :
4–6 years of experience in
art direction, production design, or visual communication , ideally within an agency, production house, or design studio environment.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in
Art Direction, Design, Production Design, Fine Arts , or related discipline.
Skills :
Strong aesthetic sense and knowledge of design, color theory, and visual composition.
Expertise in developing and executing set designs, styling, and on-ground art direction.
Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite) and production software.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
