As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Oversight & Governance Technology organization, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Job responsibilities
- Develop and implement technical solutions aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements for Trading Surveillance.
- Makes decisions that influence teams’ resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
- Deliver scalable and efficient technical solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies.
- Manage and mentor engineering leaders and team members.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in technology implementations.
- Foster strong partnerships with other departments, such as product management, compliance, and LOB Technology, to ensure alignment and collaboration on shared objectives.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Solid track record and 10+ years of experience in building large scale data warehouses and enterprise data platforms handling critical data.Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologistsExperience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talentExcellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to drive innovation and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Practical cloud native experienceExpertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical fieldPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards related to trading surveillance.Hands-on experience with Data Warehousing / Lakehouse platforms such as Databricks, SnowflakeExperience with query processing and tuning reports from Hive, SparkSQLExperience with ETL and processing real-time data on Hadoop platform.Familiar with Data Ponds, Data Mesh conceptsData management, archival, reporting and analytical experience.Strong in Object Oriented Development and Java platformJava Frameworks such as Spring, HibernateExperience developing SOA services (REST & XML / RPC)RDBMS experience preferably OracleStrong track records in Designing scalable solutions.
