Service Desk Engineer
This role looks after Level 2 Support, ideal for an Engineer with 3 years experience with good troubleshooting skills, this role also has an opportunity to run small projects (e.g. printer fleet rollouts, Active Directory group policy changes)

Day to day aspects of the Service Desk Analyst Role :
- Provide day to day workstation and network troubleshooting and support, and working within the ICT Service Desk and be involved in day to day ICT operations. Working at our level 1 ICT Service Desk
- Primarily at one of our two main sites to welcome end-user requests and provide advice in conjunction with technical support
- The role will entail onsite support, phone support (with remote session where practical), on client workstation and smart devices, supporting operating systems, applications, client networks and conferencing facilities.
- Identification and logging of incidents, triage, categorisation and request prioritisation
- Participate in after-hours on-call roster supporting after hours production and operations
- Assist with administrative duties such as asset allocation, reconciliation and other non-technical administration duties.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge, ensuring personal and professional development in line with the ICT strategy, provide advice on policies, processes and procedures relating to the transition of ICT Services
- Work in accordance with personal and department agreed Service Levels.
Day to day aspects of the Service Desk Engineer role :
Work within the ICT Service Desk and provide end-user technical supportPrimary functions for the role include desktop support, troubleshooting, networksupport, and general ICT operations activities.Participate in ICT operations duties, which may include maintaining endpointdeployments using MDT, patching using BigFix and WSUS, Azure AD and cloud, plainpaper printing and label printing, telephony and technical administrative tasksAssist the team with asset reconciliation, and non-technical administrativeprocesses.Assist the ICT operations team to offer support and technical troubleshootingWork with business users to develop requirements, specifications and projectmanagement plans for IT projectsParticipate in on-call after-hours roster.Liaise with customers and vendors for IT projectsCoordinate ICT projects (such as deployments), as is part of Service Transition, orsupport other team members coordinate projectsMaintain in-depth knowledge, ensuring personal and professional development inline with the ICT business plans, and provide advice on policies, processes andprocedures relating to the transition of ICT Services between technical environmentsWork in accordance with personal and department agreed Service Levels.Assist with administrative duties such as asset allocation, reconciliation and other non-technical administration duties.Maintain in-depth knowledge, ensuring personal and professional development in line with the ICT strategy, provide advice on policies, processes and procedures relating to the transition of ICT ServicesIf this sounds like the role you would like to be in for 2022, send your application in asap!
