Role Overview :
The Head (CEO) will lead the set-up, launch and administrative management of the new Design School in Coimbatore, established in collaboration with Intuit Lab on a franchisee model, while also monitoring the Bangalore centre as an investor representative. This is a high-impact start-up leadership role requiring an entrepreneurial mindset, strong operational capabilities and the ability to manage the school as an independent P&L centre, ensuring academic excellence and business growth.
Key Responsibilities :
1.Strategic & Operational Leadership :
- Oversee end-to-end establishment of the Coimbatore Design School, from infrastructure readiness to the inaugural academic session.
- Define and execute the annual business plan, ensuring revenue targets and profitability of the P&L centre.
- Establish policies, processes and systems aligned with the Intuit Lab franchise model.
2.Academic & Faculty Coordination :
Liaise with the Bangalore Centre for curriculum, course content, and academic quality.Identify, onboard, and schedule industry visiting faculty, ensuring seamless delivery of courses and workshops.Monitor teaching schedules, student engagement, and feedback loops to maintain high academic standards.3.Marketing & Student Recruitment :
Drive local outreach, admissions campaigns, and partnerships with schools, industry bodies and creative communities.Build the brand presence of Intuit Lab Coimbatore through events, exhibitions and media engagement.4.Finance & Administration :
Manage the school’s finances as a P&L centre : Budgeting, Basic accounting, revenue and expense tracking, and reporting.Oversee day-to-day administration including facilities, student services and vendor management.5.Stakeholder Management :
Act as the primary liaison between Coimbatore and Bangalore centres to ensure strategic and academic alignment.Monitor the Bangalore centre as an investor representative-review financial performance, and report to KI LeadershipBuild strong relationships with industry leaders, investors and local partners to strengthen both campuses' ecosystems.Qualifications & Experience :
Postgraduate degree in Business Management / Creative Industries / equivalent.6-8 years of leadership experience in entrepreneurial ventures or creative industries or education.Proven ability to set up or scale new institutions, business units or centres.National and international exposure will be advantageous.Skills & Competencies :
Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of building and scaling operations, preferably in education, technology, or training sectors.Excellent people management, scheduling and coordination skills to work with visiting faculty and creative professionals.Financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting and basic accounting.Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving abilities.Passion for design education and an understanding of contemporary creative industry trends.
