Position : Mechanical / Equipment Engineer

Location : Mumbai, Maharashtra

About the Role

The Mechanical / Equipment Engineer will be responsible for designing, selecting, and overseeing the procurement of mechanical equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

Design, select, and oversee procurement of mechanical equipment and machinery (compressors, pumps, vessels, piping, etc.).

Prepare equipment specifications, datasheets, and technical bid evaluations.

General knowledge of pressure vessel, storage tank, and rotating equipment design.

Production, purification, compression, and storage of green hydrogen, green ammonia and its derivatives.

Review vendor documents and ensure compliance with codes and project requirements.

Provide engineering support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.

Troubleshoot equipment-related issues and ensure reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

5–10 years of experience in mechanical / equipment engineering, preferably in hydrogen, ammonia, or related process industries.

Proficiency in 3D modeling tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PDMS, etc.).

Required Skills

Mechanical engineering expertise.

Experience with procurement processes.

Knowledge of compliance and safety standards.

Preferred Skills

Experience in hydrogen and ammonia industries.

Familiarity with advanced modeling software.
