Senior Geospatial Analyst

GIS Developer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GIS developer to join our team. As a GIS developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions.

Your primary focus will be on analyzing user requirements to develop and optimize geospatial workflows and tools. You will also be expected to integrate GIS applications with various enterprise systems and APIs, as well as develop scripts and tools for data automation, analysis, and processing using Python and ArcPy.

You will have the opportunity to perform spatial data modeling, geoprocessing, and complex spatial analysis. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing spatial databases such as PostGIS and SQL Server with Spatial Extensions.

In this role, you will create interactive maps, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and Mapbox. You will also conduct performance tuning, testing, and documentation of GIS solutions, as well as provide support and troubleshooting for GIS-related issues and enhancements.

A bachelor's or master's degree in GIS, computer science, geography, or a related field is required. A minimum of 7 years of experience in GIS development is also necessary. Proficiency in ESRI's ArcGIS Suite is essential, as well as experience working with VertiGIS Studio Suite of Tools and ESRI Experience Builder.

• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or .NET are required.
• Experience with spatial databases such as PostGIS, SQL Server, and Oracle Spatial is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with FME, GDAL, or other ETL / data transformation tools is also required.
• Knowledge of web development frameworks and APIs is essential.
• Experience integrating GIS with other enterprise systems is necessary.
