Job Profile : PaaS Engineer – Level L2 (Redis)

Location : HDC – Bengaluru

Employment Type : Full-time, WFO, Regular shift Preferred

Experience : 3 - 5 years

The Role

The PaaS Engineer (Redis) will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing Redis clusters in large-scale production environments. The role includes ensuring high availability using Sentinel and Cluster Mode, handling performance tuning, automating operations, and supporting Redis deployments on Kubernetes and OpenStack. The engineer will work closely with DevOps and application teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable Redis services.

Responsibilities :

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Redis clusters across Canonical Kubernetes and OpenStack platforms.
• Manage replication, failover, and sharding for optimal performance and data availability.
• Implement and maintain Redis persistence (AOF / RDB) and backup / recovery mechanisms integrated with Ceph storage.
• Automate Redis operational tasks using Ansible, Shell, or Python scripts.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Application, and PaaS teams for Redis service integration with backend and streaming systems.
• Troubleshoot latency issues, connection errors, and memory bottlenecks in production clusters.
• Ensure compliance with UIDAI’s data retention, security, and fault-tolerance standards.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, SOPs, and capacity reports.
• Participate in DR drills, upgrades, and rollout activities under established SLAs.
