Quality Assurance Team Lead (Java + Agile)

📍 Location : Bangalore (Hybrid)

💰 Budget : ₹20 – 27 LPA

🧩 Experience : 6 + Years

We're hiring for a US-based product company (100 + employees, Bangalore office) for a Quality Assurance Team Lead role. The ideal candidate is a hands-on QA professional who thrives in Agile environments, loves automation, and can lead a team from the front while ensuring world-class product reliability.

Role Overview

As a QA Team Lead , you’ll own the entire QA lifecycle - from planning and execution to automation strategy and team leadership. You’ll be responsible for web-application testing (manual + automation), guiding your team, collaborating with developers and DevOps engineers, and continuously improving QA standards across sprints and releases.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the QA function for product releases and agile sprints.
Plan and implement automation and test engineering best practices.
Write, debug, and refactor test scripts;

drive framework optimization.

Manage, mentor, and evaluate a mid-sized QA team;

run POCs and trainings.

Coordinate cross-functional testing efforts (development, CI / CD, DevOps).

Define and communicate test plans, coverage, and quality metrics.

Ensure smooth collaboration across India + US teams.

Required Skills & Experience

6 + years in QA engineering (manual + automation).

Hands-on experience with Java and Agile methodology.

Proven leadership experience managing QA teams.

Strong understanding of CI / CD , Sprint testing , and release cycles .

Experience with tools such as Cucumber , Cypress , WebDriver , Jenkins / Drone / GitLab , and RESTAssured / Karate .

Familiar with Docker , SQL / NoSQL databases , and API testing .

Experience in cloud-based applications (AWS / Azure preferred).

Bonus : familiarity with AI testing tools , OData , or BI / Reporting platforms .
