About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineering Specialist to join BP Energy's dynamic cybersecurity team. This role is pivotal in safeguarding BP's digital infrastructure by supporting the development and implementation of robust security standards across cloud, infrastructure, and data environments. The successful candidate will work closely with security experts, software engineers, and cross-functional teams to promote secure practices, identify vulnerabilities, and develop automation solutions that enhance the company&aposs cybersecurity posture. The role involves designing security architectures, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. As part of a collaborative environment, you will contribute to evolving security strategies, mentoring team members, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in security engineering or technical infrastructure roles, with a focus on cybersecurity.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas : Cloud security (AWS, Azure), Infrastructure security (IAM, Network, Endpoints), or Data security (DLP, Data Lifecycle Management).
• Proven expertise in designing secure, scalable, and reliable data infrastructure, cloud, and data products within complex environments.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, or C#, with experience in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Alibaba.
• Experience with full-stack development, automation, scripting, and security tooling, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI / CD pipelines, vulnerability scanners, CNAPP, Endpoint Security, and DLP tools.
• Deep understanding of all data lifecycle stages and associated security measures.
• Foundational knowledge of security standards, industry laws, and regulations such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA, and SOX.
• Strong ability to influence and manage stakeholders, providing technical guidance and fostering collaboration across teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
