About the Role :
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. The ideal candidate will take ownership of both manual and automation testing across high-impact digital products. You will be expected to build scalable test frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript / TypeScript, and ensure product reliability through robust API and end-to-end testing Responsibilities (KRAs) :
- Lead and execute test strategy for manual and automated testing across UI, API, and end-to-end workflows
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript / TypeScript
- Own and manage functional testing (FT), user acceptance testing (UAT), API testing, and end-to-end testing (E2E)
- Ensure continuous improvement in test coverage, test effectiveness, and test efficiency
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers in Agile teams to define test requirements
- Perform robust API testing using tools like Postman and validate data across services
- Drive early defect detection by integrating test automation into the CI / CD pipeline (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Review requirements and provide actionable feedback from a quality and testability standpoint
- Analyze test results and maintain accurate defect logs and test reports
- Mentor junior QA team members and promote best testing practices across the Skill Set :
- 8-10 years of overall QA experience, with solid grounding in both manual and automation testing
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework using JavaScript or TypeScript
- Strong knowledge of API testing, request / response validation, and Postman workflows
- Expertise in XPath / CSS selectors, DOM traversal, and UI automation best practices
- Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies and fast-paced sprint cycles
- Experience working with CI / CD tools, preferably GitHub Actions or similar
- Ability to write clear and maintainable test scripts, reusable components, and utilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional to Have (Bonus Skills) :
- Experience with Cypress, Selenium, or other web automation tools
- Exposure to test reporting tools like Allure or TestRail
- Knowledge of performance testing or mobile automation is a plus
