Job descriptionDefine and execute the IT and telecom strategy aligned with business goals in upstream operations. Leverage GenAI to streamline IT Operations and Compliance. Manage end-to-end IT infrastructure including data centers, networks field communications, and SCADA systems. Ensure high availability and reliability of telecom systems across remote and offshore sites. Proficiency in telecom technologies (VSAT, LTE, microwave, fiber) and industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC, etc. Oversee all operations related to IT infrastructure and service delivery. Ensure adherence to SLA / KPI targets and conduct performance reviews. Drive business continuity and disaster recovery planning and execution. Evaluate emerging technologies and conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) for strategic adoption. Optimize infrastructure costs and improve operational efficiency. Certifications in cloud platforms (Azure / GCP), ITIL, or relevant technologies. Implement robust cybersecurity frameworks tailored to oil & gas threats (e.g., OT / ICS environments). Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001,OG86) and regulatory requirements. Oversee vendor contracts, SLAs, and performance for IT and telecom services. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and HSE teams to align technology with field needs. Build and mentor a high-performing IT team with domain expertise in oil & gas. Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
