Job description

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced SmartCOMM QA Engineer to join our on-site Hyderabad delivery team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SmartCOMM (Smart Communications) , document generation systems, and insurance domain processes, ensuring seamless end-to-end validation of SmartCOMM implementations within enterprise ecosystems. This role demands high accountability, hands-on QA expertise, and a sharp eye for detail in a high-performance, delivery-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and automation frameworks for SmartCOMM-based solutions.
  • Validate end-to-end document generation workflows across SmartCOMM, Guidewire, Duck Creek, or other core systems.
  • Conduct system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for SmartCOMM projects.
  • Review SmartCOMM templates, data models, and communication templates to ensure accurate rendering and content consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, solution architects, and release managers to troubleshoot and resolve defects across pre-prod and prod environments.
  • Drive test automation initiatives, integrating with CI / CD pipelines where applicable.
  • Document detailed defect logs and manage defect lifecycle using JIRA, ALM, or equivalent tools.
  • Ensure QA deliverables adhere to project timelines, client SLAs, and BlitzenX delivery quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement of testing frameworks, metrics, and QA governance processes.

Required Skills And Experience

  • 8+ years of total QA experience with a minimum of 3+ years in SmartCOMM (Smart Communications) testing.
  • Hands-on experience with SmartCOMM Document Templates, Data Model, and Correspondence Management.
  • Strong understanding of Guidewire, Duck Creek, or other insurance policy admin systems (P&C / Life / Health) preferred.
  • Proficient in test planning, automation scripting (Selenium, Postman, or REST Assured), and API testing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect complex business rules into testable components.
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies and distributed delivery models.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
