Release Manager Role
We are looking for a skilled Mobile App Release Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing mobile app releases, ensuring timely and seamless delivery of updates to users.
Main Responsibilities :
- Release Process Ownership : Own the end-to-end release process for mobile apps on iOS and Android platforms.
- OTA Release Coordination : Coordinate over-the-air releases using Code Push or custom delivery systems, ensuring hotfixes and incremental updates reach users without requiring app store resubmissions.
- Problem Solving : Demonstrate creativity and take initiative in solving complex problems that may arise during the release process.
- Collaboration : Collaborate with engineering, QA, product management, partner teams, and other stakeholders to define release scope and deliverables.
- Build Submission : Coordinate build submissions, version control, and deployment through App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
- Pre-release Testing : Monitor and manage pre-release testing (e.g., TestRail) and ensure all test cases are covered and defects resolved.
- Policies and Requirements : Ensure compliance with Apple and Google policies and requirements.
- Release Documentation : Create and maintain release documentation, release notes, and deployment guides.
- Communication : Communicate release status, issues, and risks to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Process Improvements : Drive process improvements for release automation, testing, and coordination.
Requirements :
Experience : 4+ years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.App Release Experience : 3+ years coordinating mobile app releases using App Store Connect and Google Play Console.Build Submission Experience : 3+ years of experience with build submission workflows and coordinating with engineering teams.OTA Systems Experience : 1+ years of experience working with OTA systems such as CodePush or Expo OTA.Version Control Experience : Proficiency with GitHub UI, branching workflows, and basic familiarity with version control concepts.Organizational Skills : Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.Release Calendar Experience : Experience owning or maintaining a release calendar, driving go / no-go decisions, and tracking release health.Submission Guidelines : Familiarity with submission guidelines for iOS and Android platforms.Rollouts and Monitoring : Awareness of staged rollouts, crash monitoring tools (Sentry, Dynatrace), and feature flag management.Benefits :
