Role Purpose :
To support end-to-end payroll operations for India by ensuring timely data collation, accurate processing, and compliance with statutory requirements. The role provides essential execution support to the payroll team and helps deliver smooth payroll experience for employees.
Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities
- Collect, validate, and consolidate payroll inputs (attendance, leave, overtime, new joiners, exits, variable pay, etc.).
- Assist in processing monthly payroll and verifying salary computations.
- Ensure accurate deduction and calculation of statutory components (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax, etc.).
- Maintain payroll records, employee master data, and documentation.
- Support filing of statutory returns and provide data for audits.
- Address routine employee queries related to payroll, taxation, and salary slips.
- Generate standard payroll reports and share with Assistant Manager / Manager for review.
- Co-ordinate with finance team for reconciliations.
- Contribute to payroll system updates, automation initiatives, and process improvements.
Education : Graduate in Commerce / Finance / HR; MBA / PGDM preferred.
Experience : 5-7 years of payroll execution experience (India payroll).
Technical Skills :
Familiarity with payroll systems (SAP, ADP etc.).Proficiency in MS Excel (basic to intermediate).Understanding of Indian statutory payroll compliance.Behavioural Skills :
