Job description10+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (12c → 19c / 23ai). Proven experience with Oracle Data Guard , both configuration and operational management. Strong knowledge of RMAN , recovery scenarios, and backup validation. SQL performance tuning using AWR , ASH , Explain Plans . Hands-on experience with Siebel , BRM , and / or UIM database schemas. Understanding of database dependencies in OSS / BSS systems. Experience with migration planning and cutover execution . Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Lead Oracle DBA – OSS / BSS Transformation Program

We are seeking a Lead Oracle DBA to drive the database migration, upgrade, and DR implementation for a large-scale OSS / BSS Transformation Program . This includes transitioning Oracle Communications applications (Siebel, BRM, UIM, etc.) from VMware to OLVM , upgrading Oracle DBs to 19c / 23ai , and establishing a highly available DR setup using Data Guard .
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead Oracle database migrations from VMware-based to OLVM -based environments.
- Design and implement Oracle Data Guard (physical standby) for DR and failover.
- Perform schema upgrades for Oracle Communications Suite (Siebel 24.x, BRM 12.x, UIM).
- Optimize SQL queries, indexing, and database performance for transformed application stacks.
- Implement and maintain RMAN backup strategies , validation, and monitoring.
- Conduct AWR, ASH, and SQL tuning analysis to ensure post-upgrade performance.
- Define database standards and best practices across DEV → UAT → PROD environments.
- Collaborate with app teams, infrastructure, and project management on integration planning.
- Mentor mid-level DBAs and guide database change management activities.
