Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Steel Fabrication Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in steel structure fabrication processes, project management, and quality assurance. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the manufacturing of steel components and structures, ensuring all products meet industry standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development :
Create and review fabrication drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
Develop and optimize fabrication processes for steel structures and components.
Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
Production Oversight :
Plan, coordinate, and supervise fabrication activities on the shop floor.
Ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to production schedules.
Monitor and improve fabrication workflows for efficiency and safety.
Quality Assurance :
Conduct inspections and tests to ensure fabricated steel meets required specifications and tolerances.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
Project Management :
Prepare project plans, budgets, and timelines.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
Document all aspects of the fabrication process for quality control and future reference.
Compliance & Safety :
Ensure compliance with industry safety and environmental regulations.
Promote and enforce safe working practices within the fabrication area.
Continuous Improvement :
Stay updated with advancements in steel fabrication technologies and incorporate best practices.
Recommend and implement process improvements for productivity and quality.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Experience in steel Structure fabrication.

5–7 years of experience in steel fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).

Strong understanding of steel fabrication methods, welding techniques, and quality standards.

Experience in project management and team coordination.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with advanced fabrication technologies (e.g., CNC, robotics).

Knowledge of industry certifications (AWS, ISO9001, etc.).

Familiarity with ERP or production management software.
