General Manager Finance

Position Summary : The role supports the Finance Head in managing end-to-end accounting and finance operations for the parent entity and global subsidiaries. It involves oversight of monthly and annual financial closures, consolidated reporting, audits, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. The position partners closely with business teams on P&L management, commercial contracts, working capital, and strategic decision-making, while driving process standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement. The role also leads domestic and international finance teams and coordinates with Big Four auditors to ensure strong financial governance and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

• Support the Finance Head/Financial Controller in managing the overall Accounting & Finance function for the parent organization and all global subsidiaries/branches from India.
• Oversee monthly standalone and consolidated financial closures, including year-end statutory audits.
• Assist in the preparation and closure of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and MIS reports, providing detailed month-on-month variance analysis aligned with business KPIs.
• Advise the Finance Head and senior management on financial implications of business activities while ensuring adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements.
• Manage financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and financial reporting.
• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance and identify strategic business opportunities.
• Ensure robust internal financial controls and compliance with GAAP, applicable accounting standards, and local statutory and tax regulations across geographies.
• Support international accounting activities and ensure compliance with local GAAP/IFRS for overseas entities.
• Manage relationships with statutory and internal auditors, including Big Four firms, and ensure smooth and timely audit closures.
• Oversee working capital management and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner closely with business teams on commercial contracts and all matters impacting business P&Ls.
• Lead and manage domestic and international finance teams, ensuring performance management and capability development.
• Drive standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement of finance processes and practices to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Requirements :

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong leadership capabilities in managing end-to-end Accounting & Finance functions.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in multi-entity and multi-geography environments.
• Prior experience in a publicly listed and startup entity company will be an advantage.
• Proven expertise in financial accounting, consolidation, audits, and closure processes.
• Strong track record of achieving targets, meeting timelines, and driving process improvements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• High standards of work ethics, integrity, and result orientation.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP and/or Oracle.
