YOUR IMPACT

The Manager QA / QC – Interiors will lead quality assurance for high-end interior projects, ensuring compliance with design intent, material standards, and IS codes. The role involves planning, inspections, snag management, and coordination across teams to deliver flawless finishes. Ideal for professionals with 8+ years of experience in luxury interiors and strong technical and documentation skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

▪Experience : 8+ years in construction and interiors preferably high-end interiors

▪Extensive experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control

▪Industry : Preferably from niche / luxury real estate developers in Bangalore or equivalent premium sectors (e.g., hospitality)

▪Education : B. Tech in Civil Engineering or Interior Fitouts related field

Key Responsibilities

Quality Planning & Documentation

▪Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Quality Management system (QMS)for bespoke interiors

▪Prepare / Improvise existing quality control checklists and inspection & test plans (ITPs) for all interior finishing and fit-out activities (civil, joinery, ceiling, partitions, MEP, etc.).

▪Ensure all materials and workmanship conform to approved specifications, IS codes, and design intent.

▪Should be able to work with leadership on process improvement and training initiatives

Material Inspection & Approvals

▪Inspect incoming materials (plywood, adhesives, hardware, gypsum boards, paints, etc.) and ensure compliance with quality standards and approvals.

▪Verify manufacturer test certificates, perform sample approvals, and escalate any deviations.

▪Ensure mock-ups are prepared, reviewed, and approved before mass execution.

Site Execution Quality Control

▪Conduct daily quality checks during execution – from substrate preparation to final finishes.

▪Monitor critical activities such as wall alignments, levels, joint finishes, paint coats, veneer / laminate application, etc.

Inspection & Testing

▪Perform regular inspections jointly with contractors and project teams.

▪Ensure testing of materials and works (e.g., adhesion tests, moisture content, paint thickness, etc.) as per QAP.

▪Maintain records of inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

Snagging & Defect Rectification

▪Prepare snag lists during execution and pre-handover stage.

▪Track and ensure closure of snags within defined timelines.

▪Conduct final inspection before handover to client

Coordination & Compliance

▪Coordinate with consultants, architects, MEP teams, and vendors to resolve quality-related issues.

▪Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety and statutory standards.

▪Support audits by internal and external quality teams.

Reporting & Documentation

▪Maintain complete quality records, including inspection logs, site photographs, approvals, test reports, and corrective action records.

▪Provide daily / weekly quality status reports to project leadership.

Key Requirements

▪Deep understanding of High-end interior finishing materials and methods.

▪Eye for detail and strong knowledge of IS codes / Building code specifications.

▪Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Excel, QA tools, and construction software.

▪Strong coordination, documentation, and communication skills.

Software Skills

▪Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
