Job Purpose :

The main purpose of this role is to execute prototyping & testing of new products / existing products. The job holder will bring his professional expertise and knowledge in all aspects of MV Switchgear testing and validation.

Key Accountabilities :

• To plan and execute the allocated prototype & testing activities.
• Monitor the prototype assembly and testing as per the request given by design team. Prepare the list of issues during assembly & testing, Provide suggestions for improvement and review with the design team
• Prepare the test validation plan. Arrange to test the prototypes internally / externally as per as per the validation plan considering reference IEC standards
• Prepare the test matrix. Arrange to test the prototypes externally as per the test matrix considering reference IEC standards
• Collaboration with external test lab for smooth execution of testing
• Collaboration with external test lab for preparation, checking & finalization of test reports in line with testing & IEC standards
• Preparation of prototype check list, fulfill it, record it
• Responsible for maintenance and upgradation of test records / test reports

Job Context :

The position is responsible to execute allocated prototype and testing activities which is requested by engineering team. Working as a coordinator within lab team and design team, who execute all the necessary activities for validation and verification of testing prototypes.

The job holder is also responsible to maintain the test records, test reports, prototype check lists.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Bachelor / Diploma of Engineering in Electrical / Mechanical with MV / LV switchgear background

Minimum Experience : 3 to 8 years of experience

Job-Specific Skills : Understanding of IEC / BS / IS standards, Knowledge of switchgear products, switchgear product testing, Basic understanding of electrical scheme, Engineering build, Assembly processes, Basics of project scheduling

Behavioural Competencies : Positive attitude, Develop and maintain effective relationship with internal & external stakeholders, Good communication skills
