Role Value Proposition

The Business analyst data modeler is an important role in the data and analytics (D&A) organization. The role ensures, data is structured, organized and is represented effectively aligned to the needs of the organization. The role helps design logical & physical model which include implementation of robust data models that accurately capture, store, and manage data end to end.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform data modeling activity (Logical, Physical) using data modeling tool – CA Erwin Data Modeler
  • Ability to gather, understand & analyze business requirements accurately
  • Ability to analyze data using SQL
  • Partnering with other teams to understand data needs & translating it into effective data models.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to provide domain-based solutions.
  • Experience in implementing industry data modeling standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in data modeling
  • Hands-on experience with API development and integration (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML).

Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related tech or business discipline

Experience

(In Years)

  • 3-5 years Hands on experience in CA Erwin
  • 3-5 years experience in SQL, data modelling and data analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Understanding of API Design and Ingestion
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with various levels of management, including translating complex ideas and data into actionable steps for business units

    • Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL skills
  • Hands-on experience with ERWIN tool
  • Familiarity with Agile best practices
  • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills

    • Other Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Azure cloud
  • Experience in a client-facing role / environment.
