Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant Oracle Cloud Technical to join our Enterprise Applications Cloud ERP practice.
The role requires deep technical expertise in Oracle Cloud ERP (SaaS), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), BI Publisher, and custom application development (APEX, VBCS).
The ideal candidate will work closely with functional teams, business stakeholders, and IT to deliver high-quality technical solutions including integrations, conversions, extensions, reports, and custom applications.
This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities :
Technical Solution Delivery :
- Design, develop, and implement technical components for Oracle Cloud ERP including conversions, reports, interfaces, and extensions (RICE components).
- Build and maintain OIC-based integrations between Oracle Cloud and external / third-party systems.
- Develop custom solutions and extensions using Oracle APEX and Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS).
- Configure and customize reports using BI Publisher and OTBI extracts.
- Perform data conversions from legacy systems to Oracle Cloud ERP, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and performance.
Implementation & Support :
Support Oracle Cloud ERP implementations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing root cause analysis and long-term fixes.Collaborate with Oracle Support to resolve escalated issues.Work with IT teams to ensure data security, backup, and recovery strategies are in place.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :
Engage with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and end-users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and deployment guides.Provide user training and support to business teams post go-live.Quality & Governance :
Ensure all developments align with best practices, Oracle Cloud guidelines, and organizational standards.Participate in requirement analysis, solution design reviews, and code walkthroughs.Proactively identify opportunities to optimize Oracle Cloud ERP usage for better performance and user experience.Required Skills & Experience :
Strong technical expertise in Oracle Cloud ERP implementations and customizations.Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for real-time and batch integrations.Advanced skills in BI Publisher, OTBI, and data extracts.Experience with data migration tools, conversion scripts, and validation methods.Proficiency in Oracle APEX and VBCS for application extensions.Solid understanding of PL / SQL, web services (SOAP / REST APIs), and XML technologies.Proven ability in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with prior experience in client-facing consulting roles.Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.Preferred Qualifications :
Oracle ERP Cloud Technical Certification (OIC, APEX, VBCS, or BI Publisher).Experience in multi-application integration landscapes (ERP, HCM, CX, third-party tools).Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.Knowledge of data security, identity management, and cloud governance principles(ref : hirist.tech)
