Job Introduction
The role holder would be a one-point contact to interact with various laws enforcement agencies who require the bank to submit information that is being sought by these authorities from time to time. The role holder would work closely with LOB's, support functions and second line of defense stakeholders like LGA, FCC, RC and TAX to ensure the banks submission is correct and timely. The job holder is also internal SPOC for risk and controls for WSB operations team.
Principal Accountabilities : Key activities and decision making areas
Impact on the Business / Function
Have oversight over the GSC LEA team to ensure all notices are responded within timelines. In case of any extensions, these are being sought in a timely manner.Work closely with business to ensure notices requiring LOB inputs are sought, verified and vetted by an appropriate business authority prior to submission by the LEA team.Review the final response sent by the bank to ensure all points being sought by the authority has been responded to and data provided.As a one point contact for Law enforcement agencies ensure a working relationship is maintained with these agencies.Demonstrate ownership and logical approach to activities undertaken, working collaboratively with various stakeholders within and outside Service Delivery to ensure that the bank meets its deadline for submission of responses.Process improvisation, streaming, identifying risk and undertaking mitigation activities.Customers / Stakeholders
Proactively engage with Lines of Business, GSD leadership team, Financial Crime Compliance and other stakeholders in Global Functions to ensure as a Bank we meet our timelines for submission of the data being sought by the law enforcement agencies.

Resolve all identified issues promptly, and escalate concerns as appropriate.Maintain and observe all HSBC control standards including the timely deployment of Group Audit recommendations to ASP entities and countriesCollate and Report country level LEA related MIS to the country Exco.Major Challenges
Flexibility and adaptability – A dynamic business environment with multiple priorities that are unpredictable and wide ranging. The role requires management of complex and broad range of operational challenges.HSBC operates in an increasingly regulated and complex global space which requires compliance to regulations in different jurisdictions. The job holder will need to adapt to a complex business environment which has ever evolving landscape.The job holder will need to liaise with various law enforcement agencies which at times are demanding in respect of the TAT's within which we need to provide data. The job holder would need to negotiate with authorities to provide the bank sufficient time to extract data and verify the correctness of the same before submission.Management of Regulatory Compliance & Operational Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)
Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of occurrence including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section B.1.2 of the Group Operations FIM.
Observation of Internal Controls
Maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators. Foster a compliance culture and implement Group Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, and optimising relations with regulators.Adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.Abide by the Group Compliance and Risk Policies in all respects. Graduation required
