Purpose of the Job
Operation and Maintenance of Aggreko’s Modular fleets such as Diesel Generators, Gas Generators, Load
Banks, Chillers, AC, and cooling Towers. To Optimize performance of fleets with preventive and condition-based
maintenance.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Minimum qualification required Diploma or Graduate in Mechanical engineering.
2. Minimum3 to 5 Years of Experience in Diesel Engine OEM, Rental power company or Utility maintenance
comprising DG set, chillers etc.
3. Hands on experience operation and maintenance of LHP – HHP Diesel engines.
Desired Skills
1. Previous Experience with Cummins / Iveco / Scania / Caterpillar Diesel Generator engines on LHP / HHP generators.
2. Experience on overhauling of diesel engine / gas engine, engines axillary components.
3. Well versed to operate DEIF / Deepsea / carrel controllers.
4. Worked Stamford / Leroy Sommer alternator troubleshooting.
5. To operate and Troubleshoot fault on switch gears / breakers (SIEMENS / Schneider)
6. Basic knowledge on Synchronizing of generators, LV & HV transformers and switchgear panels.
7. Operation and Maintenance of temperature control / HVAC equipment.
8. Basic knowledge on operation and maintenance of AC & DC Load banks.
9. Experience to work on HVAC fleets (Chillers / Cooling Towers / PHE / AHU) would be an added advantage
10. Effective troubleshooting capability and ability to read electrical drawings
11. Good command of English language, spoken and written
12. Good Communication skills must be able to complete reports legibly.
13. Possession of light vehicle transport driving license essential for service vehicle driving.
14. Skill desired to work on MS – Office (word, Excel, powerpoint etc.)
15. Skill desired to operate forklift, Overhead crane
Job Accountabilities / Key Responsibilities
1. Installation, commissioning of modular portable fleets of generators, chillers, Load banks and Cooling towers.
2. To carry out Preventive maintenance of company owned fleets as per maintenance schedule
3. To attend on-site service / breakdown calls.
4. To monitor / track site performance in line with commitment to client, analyze performance parameters of on-site
equipment’s and take immediate corrective action with online support to site operator or in person if required.
5. Comply with Aggreko servicing schedules and procedures.
6. Spares, consumables planning and maintain minimum inventory at customer site
7. Training to operators / technicians and ensure log sheets are recorded diligently
8. Ensure all customer operated sites have qualified operators to operate and maintain logbooks as per Aggreko
standards.
9. Maintain break down analysis reports and make awareness of the problem to other engineers.
10. Ensure all equipment is prepared for hire in compliance with Aggreko ‘Green Card’ procedure.
12. Ensure all work performed reports are approved by the client (on site) and are legibly produced.
13. Ensure immediate response and minimal disruption to client’s requirements.
14. Ensure good housekeeping of work area and service vehicle.
15. Effective troubleshooting to minimize downtime and unnecessary repair costs.
16. Customer satisfaction externally & internally.
17. Compliance to QHSE & ISO 9000 Policy and Procedures.
18. Compliance with 24-hour call – out policy.
19. Reporting all utilized stock items from depot stores.
20. Ensure all installations are carried out to Aggreko service manual standards.
21. Ensure quality of workmanship to maintain and enhance performance of equipment.
22. Reporting on competitor activity visible on customer’s site(s).
23. Maintain and enhance relationships and communication on site with clients.
24. Report any fuel spills, incidents or issues within the policy of QHSE.
