We're looking for a New Delhi Bureau Reporter to cover the bustling capital of the world's fastest-growing major economy.

You must be energetic and curious, and willing to crisscross from the Prime Minister's Office to North Block. The news cycle will determine your working hours and flexibility in this regard will be essential. Sourcing within India's investigative agencies and among key political parties will be a bonus.

We need a reporter with a nose for news, the passion to cultivate sources through in-person meetings, and one who understands what is important for a global wire service. Communication and collaboration will be key, as this reporter will work with broader beat teams to cover everything from India's probes into Jane Street to PM Modi's succession plan.

The bureau reporter will report to the New Delhi Bureau Chief and may also be called upon from time to time to travel to other parts of India or abroad to help cover news events as they unfold.

• Cover news in India across multiple sectors and asset classes
• Deliver accurate and concise stories under tight deadlines
• Generate analysis that don't just focus on the 'what happened'' but also on the 'why'' and 'so what''
• Collaborate extensively with Delhi, Mumbai and regional bureau colleagues covering economy, government, companies and financial markets while assisting with breaking news
• Talk about your stories on Bloomberg's multimedia platforms including television, radio and video when needed
