Job Title : GCP & GKE Staff Engineer

Experience : 8 – 10 Years

Contract Duration : Short Term

We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Cloud Architect – GCP & GKE with expertise in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale cloud infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will be GCP Solution Architect and GKE certified, with strong technical knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, and Shell scripting. This role will lead cloud transformation programs, define and implement architecture and security best practices, and ensure scalability, availability, and compliance of enterprise cloud environments. Responsibilities

Architect, design, and manage end-to-end GCP cloud infrastructure solutions.
Lead cloud migration, transformation, and modernization projects.
Define high-level and low-level architecture for GCP-based systems.
Ensure cloud security, compliance, DR / BCP, and cost optimization.
Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (GKE) with scaling, networking, and monitoring.
Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to enable CI / CD pipelines.
Build POCs, reusable Terraform modules, and automation frameworks.
Implement logging, monitoring, and backup solutions for high-availability.
Troubleshoot clusters, networking, firewalls, and containerized workloads.
Provide operational guidance and best practices across projects.

Requirements

Certifications : GCP Certified Solution Architect (mandatory), GKE certification (mandatory). ITIL, CKA / CKAD preferred.

Experience : 8–10 years in cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and operations.

Strong expertise in GCP services :

Compute & Storage : Cloud Storage, Filestore, Persistent Disk, Local SSD.

Networking : VPC, DNS, VPN, Cloud Interconnect, Load Balancers, Firewall rules, Cloud Armor.

Databases : Cloud SQL, Spanner, Bigtable.

Other Services : Cloud Functions, Monitoring & Logging.

Proven track record in large-scale migration & modernization projects.

Hands-on expertise in GKE administration (objects, secrets, orchestration, Spark on GKE).

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code : Terraform (reusable modules), Ansible, PowerShell.

Strong scripting skills : Python and Unix Shell for automation & incident reduction.

Experience with CI / CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Docker registry, Artifactory).

Familiarity with Splunk, monitoring solutions, and operational troubleshooting.

Ability to collaborate with global teams and provide technical leadership.

Skills & Tools

Cloud : GCP (mandatory), Cloud SQL, Spanner, Bigtable, Cloud Armor, Cloud VPN.

Kubernetes : GKE (mandatory), cluster operations, Spark on GKE.

IaC & Automation : Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Shell scripting.

Security & Monitoring : Cloud security best practices, DR / BCP strategies, Splunk, backup solutions.
