Role Overview :
As a System Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining x86 and Chip SoC platforms for functional validation. This includes configuring hardware, software, and thermal solutions, and ensuring stable system operations across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up x86 and Chip SoC platforms for validation, including :
- Installation of thermal solutions, debuggers, oscilloscopes, and power measurement tools.
- Configuration of multi-boot operating systems with necessary software, tools, and frameworks.
- Independently manage a fleet of systems to ensure consistent performance and uptime.
- Understand and work with hardware platform features such as chipset compatibility, memory and expansion slots, connectivity ports, and BIOS / UEFI settings.
- Modify and maintain basic automation scripts as needed.
- Monitor and maintain thermal solutions (e.G., air and liquid cooling), ensuring optimal temperature performance.
- Configure and manage client applications across various OS environments.
- Analyze client-server workflows and logs (job, client, and test logs) to identify and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, and software-related problems effectively.
Required Qualifications :
Diploma or B.E. with a minimum of 3 years of experience in system-level hardware testing.Hands-on experience with assembling and testing x86 / GPU-based systems.Proficiency in executing tests in both Windows and Linux environments.Basic scripting skills and familiarity with MS Excel.Knowledge of test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, DAQs, and DMMs.Prior experience in a silicon testing environment is a plus.Strong organizational and documentation skills.
