BMR Legal Advocates is a boutique law firm founded in 2010 specializing in the areas of Corporate International Tax, Transfer Pricing, GST, Customs & Trade, with expertise in litigation services, controversy management, strategic transaction advisory, and policy.

Role

The Managing Associate will be responsible for managing client engagements which will be related to Direct Taxes (Corporate tax, Transfer Pricing, and International tax) and other related laws.

Job Responsibilities

Interaction with Partners and briefing Partners on the client engagements
Managing and guiding the team
Preparation of litigation matters, including briefing of Counsel
Researching and preparing briefing notes, charts, and paper books for income tax matters before ITAT, High Court, and Supreme Court
Assist in drafting client responses and opinions in Direct Taxes advisory matters and other related laws
Assist in transaction-related assignments
Assisting and working on research papers, thought leadership, articles, etc.
Any other support related to the firm's commitments
Comfortable with travelling for firm commitments

RequirementsQualifications

Chartered Accountant / LL.B or both

Experience

5+ years of experience in Direct Tax (Corporate tax, Transfer Pricing, and International tax) with a reputed law firm or professional services firm

Skills

Analytical and research skills, along with good communication and soft skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines

Maintains a harmonious and collaborative relationship with other team members, clients, and stakeholders
