What are we looking for
- The Territory Head (TH) position at HDFC Life is a Second Level Leadership (SLL) role responsible for :
- Achieving organizational goals for the assigned territory in terms of revenue and cost
- Developing and mentoring team members (Corporate Sales Manager (CSM) / Sr. CSM First Level Leaders (FLL)).
- Maintaining strong and engaging relationships with channel partners within the mapped geography.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Partner Engagement :
Maintain consistent and professional engagement with Channel Partner Leadership Teams (Branch Heads, Cluster Heads, Circle Heads, TPP team, etc.) to minimize escalations, ensure timely service resolutions, and achieve business objectives.Business Sales Accountability :
Drive sales KPIs such as Top-line, Market Share, Product Mix, Upsell, SLG, 13th Month Persistency, and Attrition control. Responsible for ensuring overall persistency, threshold-level market share, and profitable product mix (Term share) in the territory.Business Planning :
Plan monthly / quarterly business travel to engage with the team and drive objectives.Team Development :
Build and develop CSM / Sr. CSM (FLL) skills to effectively manage their direct reportees (FLS) with high engagement, leading to low attrition and high productivity.Invest in strengthening FLL competencies to ensure efficient FLS management, better channel partner engagement, and reduced attrition.Ensure 100% manning by building the team through referrals.New Hire Engagement :
Ensure timely and apt 06 months FLS engagement activities are conducted by FLLs, leading to successful probation completion. This includes providing On-the-Job training support as required.Sales Management Process :
Effectively drive and sustain multiple activities such as :Sales Management ProcessesFirst Time Right (Login to Conversion)Organizational Initiatives & ContestsPersonal & Business Hygiene StandardsStakeholder Collaboration :
Maintain a collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders to seamlessly achieve business objectives.Preferred candidate profile
8 -15 years of Sales experience in Life Insurance In Banca Channel.Minimum 6 years of strong Team Handling experience (CSM / Sr. CSM / FLS).Exposure to Channel Partner Sales Management in Insurance / BFSI preferred.Lead business growth, drive partner engagement, and mentor a high-performing sales team.Skills Required
