About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CFD Engineer with deep expertise in OpenFOAM and advanced meshing tools to support our aerodynamic analysis and simulation activities. The role involves preparing, running, and optimizing CFD case files for a wide range of aerospace applications, including airfoils, wings, full aircraft configurations, and re-entry satellite vehicles . You will also contribute to R&D efforts to automate workflows, improve simulation robustness, and integrate new methodologies into our toolchain.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, prepare, and run CFD simulations in OpenFOAM for various aerospace geometries (airfoils, wings, aircraft, and re-entry satellites).
  • Create high-quality computational meshes using Gmsh, blockMesh, snappyHexMesh , and other meshing tools.
  • Set up case files including boundary conditions, turbulence models, solvers, and numerical schemes for :
  • Incompressible flows
  • Compressible flows
  • Transonic and supersonic regimes
  • Analyze and validate simulation results; generate clear reports and visualizations.
  • Perform R&D to automate CFD workflows , including mesh generation, model setup, and post-processing.
  • Develop scripts and tools (e.g., Bash, Python) to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance simulation efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on aerodynamic design, optimization, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure reproducibility, version control, and documentation of simulation processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , or related field.
  • High proficiency in OpenFOAM (solver setup, case structuring, debugging, result processing).
  • Strong experience with Gmsh, blockMesh, snappyHexMesh , and other mesh-generation workflows.
  • Solid understanding of fluid dynamics and aerodynamics across incompressible, compressible, transonic, and supersonic flow regimes.
  • Experience with Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Ability to manage multiple simulation tasks and deliver accurate results on schedule.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
