Minimum Qualifications BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience Strong Computer Science fundamentals : data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and data management. Conversant in multiple programming languages Thorough knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing concepts Exceptional proficiency in Java or Golang or similar programming language 12+ years of experience in building and running large scale systems professionally and can point to things worked on 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership or architect role, leading design of complex systems Deep understanding of database systems (e.G. MySQL, DynamoDB, Cassandra) including scalability, performance, and consistency characteristics Expertise in Cloud Infrastructure platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Expertise with modern technology stacks, API design, microservices, stream processing and designing for resilience and operational excellence Strong communicator. You enjoy synthesizing, simplifying, and articulating complex problems to different types of audience, including executives Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with modern identity standards : OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, PKCE, SAML, and MFA. Experience designing offline-first architectures for desktop and mobile applications. Contributions to open-source projects or research in large-scale data and distributed systems. Experience monitoring and improving reliability of complex systems at scale. Awareness of security and compliance challenges in cloud-native products and platforms.
