Field Operations (Solar / Renewable Energy) – Electrical

Head Quarter - Kolkata , Project Location : East Nagaland (Full-time, Field-Based)

Experience Required : 2–3 Years

We are hiring an experienced Electrical Field Engineer / Solar Technician to support solar mini-grid operations across rural East Nagaland. The role involves hands-on installation, maintenance, and community-level support to ensure reliable renewable energy access.

Key Responsibilities

Install and maintain solar PV systems, batteries, and inverters
Perform AC / DC wiring, troubleshooting, load testing, and preventive checks
Monitor system performance, record daily meter readings & generation data
Coordinate with local operators for smooth site operations
Assist in inspections, commissioning, and field documentation
Support awareness / training sessions during visits

Technical Requirements

Strong knowledge of AC / DC circuits, cable termination, and safety protocols

Hands-on experience with inverters, charge controllers, and diagnostic tools

Ability to read basic electrical diagrams and identify faults

Proficiency in Excel for operational reporting

Preferred Attributes

Experience in solar EPC / O&M or electrical fieldwork (2–3 years)

Comfortable working in rural field conditions

Hindi & English required; Nagamese / Bengali an advantage

Additional Details

Shared accommodation at project sites

First relocation from Kolkata supported

Mandatory short orientation at Kolkata HQ

Eligibility

Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy

Experience : 2–3 years in solar installation, O&M, or electrical maintenance

Compensation

₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month (based on experience)
