Intern - Associate (Business Strategy)

Role Overview :

As an Associate Intern, you will function as an internal consultant solving high-impact business challenges across Skyroot's commercial, operational, and strategic initiatives. This is not a data analytics or BI role—you'll spend your time structuring problems, conducting research, and creating strategic recommendations.

What You'll Do :

  • Strategic research & market intelligence : Conduct targeted market research to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, customer segments, and regulatory developments in the space industry. Synthesize findings into clear insights that guide leadership decisions.
  • Business problem-solving : Structure complex, open-ended business questions using hypothesis driven analysis and first principles reasoning.
  • Executive communication : Craft concise presentations that influence C-suite decisions. Your deliverables will be executive-grade—clear, structured, and recommendation-driven.
  • Agile execution : Tackle ad-hoc assignments that emerge in a fast-moving startup. Manage stakeholder interactions, maintain clear communication, and drive timely follow-through. You rapidly absorb complex problem statements, teach yourself new methods, and anticipate next steps without detailed instructions.

Your background might include (Not mandatory) :

  • Top-tier undergraduate or graduate degree (Engineering, Economics, or Business.)
  • Prior internships in high-growth startup or consulting- good to have (not mandatory)

  • Structured problem-solving : Break down ambiguous problems methodically using frame works and develop logical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills : Clearly comprehend the problem statements and synthesize information in an organized and persuasive way.

  • Quantitative reasoning : Use Excel proficiently for modeling and data analysis. Python and SQLskills are a bonus.
